A LITTLE ABOUT US
The name was inspired by a playful first toy gifted to our daughter by our elderly neighbour in March 2020. During the first lockdown, a coffee, a simple walk, and a distanced interaction with a neighbour was what got us through our first round of isolation. A sense of community was, and still is so important to us.
Perth’s newest addition in the heart of Leederville – The “Leedy Laneway” – will be Perth’s first true laneway precinct.
A simple love of coffee and people, Abacus Espresso is a meeting of our two biggest passions.
The fit-out designed by IOTA and constructed by Assemble Building Co. makes use of rich warm tones of terracotta, creating a Scandinavian inspired hideout – It’s warm and flooded with natural light. Our mission was simple – to create a hub for people on the go and those who simply just want to slow down.

Abacus Espresso acknowledges the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of this nation. We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands, the Whadjuk Nyoongar people, and the country on which our company is located and where we conduct our business. We pay our respects to ancestors and Elders, past and present.
